What happens during a Bariatric consultation?

Hi. Welcome to Healthier Weight. During the consultation, you’ll meet a patient care coordinator like myself, we’ll go through a presentation to show you how the procedure will work for you You’ll then meet Dr Ashton, who will assess you medically. and together we’ll determine the best
procedure for you. The consultation is really informal we’re just here to have a chat and go through your options. You don’t need to bring anything with you but if you’d like to bring somebody along for supports then you’re more than welcome. Altogether the consultation lasts for about an hour and a half. Don’t worry, the medical assesment doesn’t involve anything scary, Dr Ashton will just take your blood pressure, you’re current height and weight and record any medical history. As you’d expect, there is a small consultation fee of sixty pounds but our patients do tell us it’s money well
spent. You’ll find the consultation really informative and go away with a thorough understanding. You do get this money deducted from the
procedure, if you decide to go ahead. You’re under no obligation to book a procedure following on from your consultation some of our patients decide they want to book on the day and have their procedure a week or so later, others like to go
home, discuss with their family, and really give it some thought and book for three months time. Whenever and if you’re ready is absolutely fine. So if you’re seriously considering a Weight Loss procedure, come along to a consultation and have your questions answered. Thanks for coming, we look forward to
seeing you soon.
