A large percentage of our adult population
do not prioritize their health and fitness. They might say they do, ok…they might say
that, but when you look at their behaviors and when you look at the outcomes, we are
not there. We are having a disconnect. And I do think what Sadhguru said applies, where
people are assuming they are going to be healthy and that fitness isn’t really a necessity
for them, because I think at this point we all understand that health and fitness and
proper nutrition is beneficial for us all. I think there’s no denying that any further.
You know, no one is going to sit there and tell you that exercise and a proper diet is
a waste of time. No one will say that. They know it’s beneficial. But then when you analyze
the behaviors, they don’t incorporate that into their lives, they hardly do anything.
Most people can’t exercise and most people don’t stick to diets long term. So we definitely
have a disconnect now between – ok well we are acknowledging all of these things and
all these benefits, well why are we not doing it? Especially if there is this thing called
mortality. Where our health could decline at some point. Sometimes it is random factors
– genetics, accidents, and things like that, but then there are things that are in our
complete control such as some of our health metrics – weight, cholesterol, especially
things around diet and exercise. We are almost, for a large percentage of us, we are in almost
complete control of that. And we have the ability to dictate and change that if we change
our behaviors. And if we prioritize the right things. So if you’re somebody right now who
isn’t the most healthy, maybe you have some extra pounds you are looking to lose. Maybe
some of your blood levels are out of whack from what your doctor is telling you. You
have control, you have the ability to do something about it. I know its challenging and I understand
it is difficult and that’s why I have created a business to try to help people with that.
I know it’s difficult. But that doesn’t mean the answer become ignorance and ignore ignore.
Or to push the can down the road. And just wake up every day and assume that you’ll be
fine because one day you might wake up and not be fine.
