Hi it’s Tim from hiitworkouts.tv. and today
one of our viewers would like to know what is the best weight loss diet. If you’re referring
to “diet” such as, Adkins or South Beach. One of those fad diets then the answers is
none of the above. I don’t believe in those types of diets. I don’t advocate those types
of diets. You may have some success. Especially, there’s a lot of people have had success with
Adkins. However, I don’t believe that it is a long term strategy that will work. Instead
what I advocate for a weight loss diet. When I use the term “diet” I mean it in the classic
sense which is just a way of eating. It’s a way of life as far as your nutritional values
go. Just like they taught us in school when we were kids. It’s not complicated. If you
look at the food pyramid, there’s plenty of grains, there’s plenty of fruits, there’s
plenty of vegetables, there’s meats and there’s dairy. I think that we should eat from each
one of those groups and take responsibility for what goes in your mouth. When I say that,
you should be monitoring your calories. You should be knowing on a daily basis how many calories you’re eating. When it comes to your weight loss diet, knowing where you’re at is essential. And.. Adkins and those types of diets. They have these little tricks. These
points. Whatever… It’s very complicated and with Adkins I don’t think it’s a healthy diet. And like I said, I don’t think it’s an answer long term either. However, a well balanced meal is very sustainable. It’s not hard to do. I been doing it for years. I know
other people who’ve been doing it for years. The fitness industry. Well not the fitness
industry but the health industries… The people that are promoting these diets and
things… They are intentionally causing confusion. They want you to be confused. It doesn’t have
to be confusing. Just simply keep track of your calories. Know where you’re at. Eat healthy.
Eat right. If you want that snack every now and then? If you’re craving peanut butter?
If you’re craving chocolate, don’t deprive yourself but be repsonsible at the same time.
It’s really… Once you get into a groove, it is really easy to do. And as long as your
are being true and honest with yourself, you will see results. So I hope that answers your
