Hello everyone, this is Michelle Phelan, Nutritionist
at Blossom Bariatrics and today I’m going to talk about some of my very favorite protein
snacks and supplements. In here I have an organic plant-based protein
powder. Again, you’re getting anywhere from 22-25 grams of really great bio-available
protein powder, but this is plant based. So many of them are now combining rice and pea
protein powders, maybe some hemp protein powder, alfalfa protein powder. The reason why I really
am encouraging folks to try plant-based protein powders is because they’re generally cleaner,
again, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and no artificial sweeteners. Many
of them are using stevia or erythritol for the sweetener. This one is organic and non-genetically
modified. These are just really great for folks who do have issues after surgery with
whey protein powder and again, it doesn’t have to be this brand. This is one of my favorite
brands, but there’s many really great companies out there that are now putting out plant-based
