Lisa’s gastric band diary – Week 41


Hi everybody, so this week has been a
really really good week actually. Back on it, no messing around. You know start of
the new year. I’ve had a loss. I’ve had a loss of two pound, which in itself
you know it’s not a lot but, what I am finding now is that because I’ve had
quite a big loss it’s harder to lose it now and I’m noticing that a
lot. So, I am still happy with the fact that I’ve had a two pound loss.
Still, you know, I’m still heading in that direction of you know, get into that size
12 for 12 months. I found a pair of size 16 jeans in my drawr the other day. I put them on just to see the difference and they were huge! They were
literally, they were they were falling off and I wish now I would have kept
some of my twenty-twos because when I started to feel a bit ‘Oh, you know it’s
taking forever to you know drop these last these last bits now’. I’ve lost so much! You know,
I’ve come so far so I really really need to stop being so hard
on myself because I’m really really proud of what I’ve done.
You know going back to basics again, you know just being really really
strict, making sure that you know there’s no messing around. I’m keeping you
know my five a day you know my fruit, my veg, you know doing exercise when
I can. So yeah I’m really really proud of
myself. I am going on holiday in July and I decided to buy – pre buy – some
clothes and I’ve got the while in a size 12. I’ve not spent loads of money
because I dont, you know I don’t want to go overboard but I thought you know
what, if I get this stuff it’s gonna be um it’s gonna be a goal. The same as my
Christmas dress. You know, and I know of only got kind of like one dress size to
drop down but because it’s so much harder now, losing it, I’m you know, I’m not
as confident as I was last time. I mean I’m not going to be silly with it. I am gonna try. But yeah, I can’t believe how much harder it is now
trying to lose and like these extra these extra you know bits I wanna
lose and compared to what it was at the start I think it kind of took you for
granted how easy it was. But, I suppose it’s like everything you just gotta
really really try and put the effort in. So, that’s gonna be my plan you know just
making sure I stay focused and getting to where I want to be. But I definitely
think by putting you know certain goals in place, like pre-buying my
clothes and stuff, and you know just looking back at where I was, I think
that’s what we’re gonna steer me in the right direction so yeah. I’m really
really happy. I am gonna be booking in for another fill, I think I told you
that. So, yeah that’s going to be next on the list and hopefully that’s
gonna help a lot as well. But yeah as I said for the new year I’m really
really happy. I’m really really enthusiastic about where things are
gonna go and yeah hopefully, you know if I get a weight loss of two pound a week,
I’m gonna be happy. You know, two pound a week it’s not to be sniffed at.
Obviously it’s not what I would want to do and it’s not what I’ve done before,
but it’s a weight loss and you know that’s a good thing, so I will
be very happy. So that’s it for me for this week. I’ll speak to you all again next
