Ideal Protein Protocol at Obesity Week part 1

Ideal Protein Protocol at Obesity Week part 1

So an Obesity Week this week, over the next
two days, we’re going to present two abstracts with our results with the Ideal
Protein weight loss method. The first one we did on 16 patients
that had a BMI above 35, and we did advanced lipid profile, metabolic parameters
on those patients at baselines, and then at 12 weeks. And what we found is that,
with 12 weeks on the protocol, people had substantial decrease and some
resistance, substantial decrease in insulin levels, decrease in glucose, improvement in
blood pressure and decrease in weight. They also had marked improvement
in their small LDL particles. As you know, LDL particles, the small LDLs are
the atherogenic profiles, or the atherogenic particles. So that when you reduce those, we lower
someone’s risk for atherosclerosis. They had marked improvement in triglycerides,
they had a decrease in the LDL particle number as well, so that what we really showed is that when you look
at people’s advance markers for heart disease, or their risk for heart disease, that treatment with
the protocol substantially lowers those numbers. And so we think it substantially lowers
the risk for developing heart disease.
