Dress Your Way Skinny: Back on Track After Regain

One thing that makes me super happy
after losing 30 pounds of regain is shopping! If you watched my “Dress Your
Way Skinny Video” then you understand that your wardrobe can be a powerful
tool and staying on the straight and narrow of right size living. So, I
accidentally did my own case study! I purchased some new fitness attire for
the first time in almost a year. Even though I had smaller sizes from way back
when in the back of my closet that I never got rid of … convinced I would one
day fit into them again … I wanted to get something fresh – a little something to
celebrate my thinned-down physique. I went to the Lululemon store. I’ve known about
the brand for over a decade, but had never tried it I think somewhere in my
head it was for skinny girls. Not for me. After all, there’s this part of my brain
that even after 15 years post weight-loss surgery I’m still … the curvy
girl! Anyway, I went in and walked out with this super cute size 8 top size 8
pants. Friggin’ size 8! Who’da thunk? Not this gal who was called Miss Piggy in
grade school! So, yesterday I wear my cute new outfit to spin class. I set up my
bike, warmed up, and off I went with my instructor Cory when she started putting
us through the paces. About halfway through I realized, “Wow! I’m killing it!” I
mean, my face was red and I was drenched from the exertion. My watts … if you’re not familiar with spin that’s the effort you’re exerting … my average watts were
way higher than normal. I was doing the WOO HOOs and “you go girl” in my head. When I got home I started thinking, “Hey, this is exactly what you talked about in your Dress Your Way Skinny video. That research actually shows that if you dress right for the part it can boost your confidence and your performance. BOOM! Cute outfit splurge justified! Until next
time, live with purpose, live with courage, and live with delight!
