Hello everyone, this is Michelle Phelan, Nutritionist
at Blossom Bariatrics, and today I’m going to talk about some of my very favorite protein
snacks and supplements. For many of my patients whey protein does
just fine, but I need to kick it up a notch. This is the gold standard of whey protein
powders right here. Not only is it organic, the cows that ate the grass, the grass was
non-genetically modified and organic. The cows were not treated with hormones or antibiotics.
So when you see something that’s says grass fed cows or cattle, that means that the cows
were out in a pasture eating away and chewing away like they were supposed to in nature
like they were supposed to. The reason why this whey protein is superior is that the
milk that the whey is extracted from is healthy from healthy cows. I’m not saying that the
whey proteins out there are any less inferior, but again, this is the gold standard. You’re
going to look for organic grass-fed whey protein such as this brand, but there’s many other
brands out there. They obviously come in many, many flavors and they are all naturally sweetened
with stevia or monk fruit extract or erythritol, so again, natural sweeteners, no artificial
colors, no artificial flavors. The key take away about this protein powder is, of course,
that it’s soy free, yes and that they are cows that have been guaranteed to be, I guess
A-2, and that is a genetic strain of cattle that produce better milk. So the casein and
the whey from A-2 cows, alright, the genetic strain of A-2 cows, produces a much cleaner
and more digestible milk and whey protein. So again, this why a grass-fed whey protein
powder, non genetically modified, organic, from really healthy and happy cows, is the
gold standard for all whey proteins. If you have any additional questions please
