This video is for you if you feel
overwhelmed or a little deflated when you open the wardrobe in the morning
and maybe if you’re a little stuck, not knowing what to do about it. Perhaps you imagine that it would take
a lot of effort or you don’t know where to start.
Or maybe you’re stuck with that catch-22 our thought process were, for
example, you think that you need to lose weight before you declutter your clothes, but you’re not losing weight so you can’t start decluttering. I’d love to illuminate the path for you a
little bit because it’s actually not that difficult. Within a few days of
focus and experimentation and playing with others you could have a
wardrobe that feels just lovely, supportive and uplifting to spirits in
the morning. So what would it take? I guess there are three aspects to this journey.
The first one is definitely finding a way to prune the volume of belongings
sitting in your wardrobe so that it’s easier to see what you’ve got ,easier to
handle it and actually you keep only things that you use and love. Rather than
having lots of stuff that is not used or maybe you have some guilty feelings
about, and stuff like that . And then, of course, you would want to organize the
items you keep so that it’s easy to find them, easy to put them away and actually
you get a lovely visual way of how things are arranged when you go to the
wardrobe. And that’s part of what lifts you up and gives you this nice feeling and
gives you encouragement to go ahead and play with outfits. And of course
experimenting with putting together outfits that work for the clothes you
have and for the body you have. That would be the third part of the journey.
A lot of us have got maybe slightly outdated ideas about how to dress and
haven’t had a chance to see what would be authentic and complementary to the
shapes and clothes we have. And so it would take a little bit of experimenting.
With encouragement and a few tips it’s actually a very fun process. You could take each of these three steps
separately but I love to offer one makeover journey that covers all three as a
three class course. So if you might be interested in this, I’d like to
encourage you to join a free preparatory class on that, that has a working
title: “How to heal the crisis of imagination so that you can declutter
and design your wardrobe”. This class will be offered for free to
anyone who can make LIVE event and I’ll also make recording available, quite
inexpensively, for anyone who cannot come to the actual call. You will find
information somewhere with this video. If you’d like to register for the class, and
I’d really love to see you there, my name is Dorota Godby and i love supporting people to
liberate their physical spaces and to restore grace around them. My work
website is www.graceinyourspace.co.uk and you can find good articles
there too. Until next time!
