#63 SMILE – It’s a RISK worth taking – My weight loss JOURNEY


smiling makes a big difference it helps our brain helps us feel better elevates our mood good morning as you know I finished all my water yesterday which means my first task of the day is to fill up my water and then struck start drinking my water I have had probably now five or six or maybe in seven days where I’ve had 100% of my water so I feel like that tip that Craig gave us about drinking the whole quart like one quart just suck it down first thing in the morning was really good advice because that has increased the likelihood of me nailing the water things today is Family History Day I am packing my lunch so I’m gonna use the Dave’s killer bread and I’m gonna have some tuna and I’m gonna have there’s my Dave’s killer bread I’m gonna have some carrots and some hummus and some fruit and some of they – oh I got to give you the power word for today let’s see what do we have our word for today is superb I am super you are superb we are superb I handle things superbly if things start to dip just think I am superb so other than going to filming history today with April I’m also gonna walk this afternoon with Shan so I have a few things going today that should be kind of fun and interesting I woke up this morning feeling a little bit concerned about getting a cold because I felt like something was happening here and kind of in my throat so I had taken two Zicam last night and I took another one this morning I’m not gonna take it with me today so they can take it a few times it says to take it every three hours when you first start feeling sick and the thing of it is that you can get have a cold for seven to ten days or you can take this Zicam and only have like a partial cold for like three days I prefer a partial cold for three days than a full-on cold for seven to ten days the thing I don’t like is when I have a stuffy nose when I try to sleep I do not like that so that’s what I’m trying to avoid I am sharing my daily adventures towards a healthier life I would love some company on the journey please hit subscribe starting out today good with some broccoli no butter no cheese I might do some salt and pepper but there’s nothing else on it just pure broccoli and I will enjoy it and it will be healthy and I will feel good I have an unhappy child this morning and you know the saying oh you’re only as happy as your most miserable child so it’s very hard on me when the kids aren’t happy and so the advice that I’m gonna give her is to smile so remember that day a few weeks ago where I I woke up and things just were not well and I said I was going to use the natural endorphins of smiling to kind of turn my day around so I started smiling right away and you saw me on camera I had my first two smiles of the day and I really think of smiling makes a big difference it helps our brain it helps us feel better it elevates our mood and even if we don’t want to we can smile and it really will help us so that’s my encouragement to you today to smile could you look at me please okay my smile the teeth with teeth nice okay I know that’s gonna help her I hope you will you commit to smiling more today sure okay she’s gonna smile days gonna turn around I promise you that’s something I can guarantee right there as hard as this is to believe I am actually at the gym preparing to sign up for a membership I think I want to get a buddy pass because I could bring like one of the kids or maybe my honey or maybe leave with me too when I’m not going to a class with April I don’t know how much it cost yet but all that the deal is but I’m eager to continue to work on my health I want to be healthy being healthy is my big goal I want to eat healthy foods I want to drink healthy liquids I don’t get exercise I want to do fasting I want to work to remind my emotions how about you do you want to you didn’t join me let’s do it together we’re in this together with you keep practicing I thought I was gonna eat overtime in history but it turns out we didn’t stay long enough to eat so I packed my lunch over and brought it back with not much help I though I did have some nuts and I did have a little baby orange and I had carrots with a little bit of hummus I didn’t eat the whole thing of hummus hummus is actually pretty high in calories but today’s lunch is zucchini with onions and the sandwich that you already saw but here it is prepared on the plate Mason and I like to try to eat together at least once a week and I’d say we end up at what do you think twice a month or something like that but we’ll go ahead and eat our lunch together today I wanted to come outside to UM share this video I have two things I want to tell you first of all the hard thing I’m going to do today that I don’t want to do is pay a medical bill I’m gonna do that in just a few minutes the reason I came outside to record this video is that I didn’t want the kids to overhear me one of the things that I’ve noticed that goes a long long long way with kids is maturing like I there’s a big difference between like an 8 year old and an 11 year old an 11 year old and the 14 year old like they really do make progress a lot of progress really fast and it made me kind of think about I wonder if we do the same thing as adults like we can watch it in the children it becomes very clear in the children and you know one of the things I always say is it’ll pass like if they have bad behaviors or bad habits or have trouble in school or have trouble with friends or have trouble whatever you know it does pass these things do pass if you give it enough time and enough nurturing and enough teaching and training and coaching and counseling they do pass but it made me think about us what do we need to do to mature what do we need to continue progressing because I wonder if we’re it’s the same way with us if they can return in three years we should be able to return in three years what do you think of that I’d love to know you know our son had something different disappointing happen today at school and you know there’s real truth to the idea you’re only as happy as your most miserable child like I have so much empathy for him and I have so much sadness on his behalf like when things don’t go well like he was he was rejected by his peers when that happens it’s very difficult on the parents even though it’s not even happening to me okay I was able to have a hamburger with some yellow cheese on it for my dinner I don’t have anything else with it I might want to have something else as well sorry I didn’t give you a picture the house is kind of hoppin tonight we’ve got grandpa plus mac plus a bunch of my kids plus a bunch of other kids although it’s really quiet here so I really wonder are there other kids here Mac and I were due to go in tomorrow to continue the process of picking out the tile for the countertops and the lady called and said that the woman’s sick and we’re not gonna be able to do it so now we’re postponed again for a few more days so that was kind of a bummer other than that I’ve had a pretty good evening and I’m getting ready to kind of call it a night tonight tomorrow on deck we have organizing in the morning in the garage which I might not record that because I’m not really involved with that too much and we’re gonna go out and record another woman who has lost a ton of weight she didn’t tell me the number the last I heard was like 80 pounds but it might be more than that right now but I’m really interested to hear her straight and then be able to share that with you remember our efforts matter your efforts matter and my efforts matter and I’ll see you tomorrow you
